BIG WORKS LLC ("BIG WORKS", "we") runs the website bigworks.app, the EPA 608 exam prep site at prep.bigworks.app, and the BIG INVOICE app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who else handles it. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
The BIG INVOICE app
Everything you create in BIG INVOICE (your business details, invoices, estimates, clients and photos) is stored only on your device. We don't upload it, keep a copy, or have any way to see it. The app sends us only anonymous usage and analytics data, such as which features and screens are used and basic app and device information, to keep it working and make it better. That data isn't tied to your identity and never includes your business, invoice or client information. App distribution and in-app subscription billing are handled by the App Store under Apple's privacy policy. To remove everything, delete the app.
Our websites
Google Analytics. bigworks.app uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, how you arrived (for example from a search engine), your general location (city or region), and device and browser type. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. We use these reports only to improve the site. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). The EPA 608 site at prep.bigworks.app does not use Google Analytics.
Basic site statistics. On prep.bigworks.app we count a few events to see whether the product works, such as views of the purchase page, checkouts started, purchases and sign-ins. These counts record the page and, for the purchase page, the name of the website that linked to it. They don't include your IP address or your identity.
Fonts. Our pages load the Inter font from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch it, which shares your IP address with Google.
Buying EPA 608 Exam Prep
Payment. Purchases are processed by Stripe and sold through Link, Stripe's payment service, which acts as the seller for the sale and handles sales tax and VAT. You enter your card and billing details on Stripe's checkout page, not on our site. Stripe and Link handle that information under their own privacy policies (stripe.com/privacy and link.com/privacy). We never see or store your full card number.
What we keep. From Stripe we receive and store your email address, the amount and currency you paid, and Stripe's reference numbers for the payment. We use them to give you access, handle refunds and support, and keep business records.
Your access link and cookie. When you buy, we create a private access link for you and save a cookie in your browser (named bw608) that keeps you signed in on that device. If you sign in with Google, a second cookie (bwg) is set for up to 10 minutes to protect the sign-in, then removed. The cookie is needed for the product to work, and we don't use it to track you on other sites. Anyone with your access link can open your questions, so please keep it private. If you're refunded within our 7-day refund window, the link and cookie stop working.
Your study progress (answers, scores and missed questions) is saved only in your browser's local storage on your device. We don't receive it. Clearing your browser data deletes it.
Sign-in emails
If you ask for a sign-in link, we send it to your email address through Resend, our email delivery provider, which handles it under its privacy policy (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy). We send these emails only when you ask for one, and only to an address that bought access. Each link works once and expires after 30 minutes. We store only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it. We don't send marketing email.
Sign in with Google
If you choose "Continue with Google", Google tells us your email address, whether Google has verified it, and your basic profile (name and picture). We use only the verified email address, to find your purchase and sign you in. We don't store your name, picture or anything else from your Google account, and we never see your Google password. Google handles the sign-in under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
Where your data is stored
The EPA 608 site and its purchase records are hosted on a server we rent from Hetzner in Finland (EU). Our main website is hosted by Webflow. Stripe, Link, Resend and Google may process data in the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it
- Purchase records: as long as you have access, plus as long as we need them for tax, accounting and refund records.
- Sign-in links: they expire after 30 minutes.
- Basic site statistics: they don't identify you.
You can ask us to delete your purchase record at any time. That ends your access. Stripe and Link keep their own payment records as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask any question about this policy, by emailing support@bigworks.app. Depending on where you live (for example California, or the EU and UK), you may have further rights under local law, and we'll honor them. We'll reply within 30 days.
Children
Our services are meant for adults working in the trades. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll also say so on the site.
