Introducing BIG WORKS

I've spent twenty years building software. Here's why I stopped and built something specifically for the people who work with their hands.

I've spent twenty years in product management. I've worked on software that millions of people use every day. And somewhere along the way I started paying attention to a group of people who were getting a pretty bad deal from the tools industry.

Tradespeople. Plumbers, electricians, roofers, painters, HVAC techs. People who run real businesses — real clients, real jobs, real cash flow — from a truck, not an office. The software built for them was either built for a company ten times their size, or so stripped down it barely worked, or nickel-and-diming them for every feature they actually needed.

None of it felt like it was built for the way they actually work.

What I kept noticing

A tradesperson's tools — their actual physical tools — are quality. A good plumber has a van full of equipment that cost real money and does exactly what it's supposed to do. There's no bloat. There's no tutorial. You pick it up and it works.

Their software should feel the same way. Open it, create an invoice, send it, done. Before you've left the driveway. No setup wizard. No monthly seat fees because you added a helper. No paywall every time you need something basic.

I couldn't find anything that worked like that. So I built it.

What BIG INVOICE is

BIG INVOICE is a mobile invoicing app built for people who work with their hands. You open it on your phone, add your line items, attach a job photo if you want, and send a professional PDF to your client by text or email. The whole thing takes under a minute.

It's free to download. No trial period. No credit card. You get two invoices free to try it, and if it works for you, it's nine dollars a month for unlimited everything. No seat fees. No add-ons. One price.

Why BIG WORKS

BIG INVOICE is the first app. The company is called BIG WORKS because the plan is a suite of focused tools — each one doing one job well, each one built for the field, not the boardroom.

If you're a tradesperson who's been making do with something that wasn't really built for you, I'd like to show you something better. Download BIG INVOICE and send your first invoice. I think you'll see the difference.
